Acro Yoga with Grace and Jay

This session will provide instruction from the very beginner fundamentals of acro yoga! 

What is acro yoga? 

Acro yoga is a partnered practice combining acrobatics and yoga - the adult version of 'airplane' on your dad's feet as a kid! It's a great way to meet new people and build trust, strength, and connection. If you haven't tried acro yoga yet then there is no better time than now to jump on board and join in! Safely lift each other up beyond our own perceived limitations and most importantly, bring back a sense of play and fun in our lives. 

You don't need to be flexible, you just need to have fun! Anyone and everyone (LGBTQIA2S+) is welcome. No partner is required.

Grace has been practicing acro since 2017 when she moved in with a new friend and roommate who, after five min of knowing her asked “have you ever tried acro yoga”, the rest as they say is history. Her journey through acro has been shaped by friendship, exploration of play and the relentless pursuit of balance, attending festivals, workshops and jams. Grace loves to find the edges and soft spots within the physicality of acro. 

Jay has been teaching a variety of fitness & movement classes since 2007 and began specializing in acro yoga in 2019. What draws her to the practice is the connection and community it cultivates (and all of the laughs!).
