
This classic Kundalini yoga class with a modern twist consists of a warm up series, a full Kundalini Kriya, and a mantra meditation.
Kundalini yoga is a form of yoga that activates the Kundalini energy that lays dormant at the base of the spine. The energy is then forced up the spine charging the Chakra system on the way. The prana or life force energy is directed with a series of repetitive asanas ( postures), bandhas (body locks), pranayama (conscious breath work), mudra, drishti (focus point), and mantra meditation. Kundalini yoga balances the glandular system, and strengthens the nervous system while expanding the lung capacity. This style of yoga is deemed the yoga of the house holder as any person with any level of physical ability is able to receive benefits from this practice. Also Kundalini Yoga is known to bring a new sense of self awareness as with regular practice it calms the mind, tones the physical body, and awakens your spirit.
Please bring a yoga mat, a cushion for meditation along with an open mind and heart.
