HUM Sound Meditation

Gerri Grad and Tara Dawn Solheim will create a sound meditation where voice is layered with instruments with deep intention to bring stillness.

Tara Dawn Solheim is a singer, poet, DJ, Certified Usui Reiki Master and SE Practitioner. Tara explores language, poetry, and music. She has performed in many contexts throughout Canada & Japan. Living for five years in Tokyo, she performed extensively with several music collectives. Her original music draws on blues & jazz from the 1920-30’s. Performances include a cappella singing & piano. She spins music as DJ Tarabytes.

This session will include some brief vocal toning allowing the voice to carry energy into the body and offer a break for the nervous system to release tension and allow energy to flow and move through. The sound journey will utilize the coherent frequencies of tuning forks, Crystal Tones Alchemy bowls, ocean drum, frame drums, chimes, gongs, and silence.

Please bring a pillow or two and a blanket, to create a cozy nest for yourself. Bring water and an open heart. We have mats and will set up a comfy space for you but if you'd like to bring your yoga mat to lay on top of the cushions, please do.
